Prisoners Escape
Hardened black prisoners escape by stealing the uniforms of the white male prison guards and then hijacking white businessmen.
Umar was one bad-ass black guy. He was only nineteen but he was already a hardened criminal, he had been involved with leading black crime gangs since he was 11. Unfortunately things had not gone too well and he and his gang members had been caught by the police.
The judge had sentenced him to life in prison. Because he was considered a highly dangerous criminal he was to spend the rest of his life in a secure prison on the other side of the country.
Umar was now on-board the prison bus with 19 other hardened cr

breaking
My heart beats
like a sea
raging of a hurricane over me
My lungs burn
of the heat
by the rising thoughts that were killing me
and lives are thrown
and I’m fading in the breeze
and souls are blown
here I’m burning like a sheet
now all are gone
so spit all your love and hold me

your heart feels
like a flame
burning so bad made the pain
your mind is a slipknot
giving me a grin or giving not
and lives are thrown
you have wrote me a fucking dot
now souls are blown
and I have spilled off all my blood
so all are gone
now I’m nodding with the clock

Trapped
Trapped alone
In this world
Like a flightless bird
In his empty cage
He longs to fly
To see the world
But the barrier before him
Restricts his moves
Before he can leave
He must first prove
That he can do
What others cannot
And be the one
They are looking for
The one in the eyes
Of every person
That he is the best
That he is worthy
Of this freedom

for variation 2. theme: pain
this is directed toward my last neurologist, whose specialty was headaches. Mr. Harvard cum laude (not joking, he has the diploma framed and on the floor) couldn't get "exercise makes the pain worse" through is skull.
see, i have chronic migraine. And things like weather changes, hormonal fluctuations, and certain kinds of physical activity make the already present pain WORSE. Or even turn a rare no-pain/no-aura day into the opposite.
in truth, i was working out as much as i could (and can). meaning crunches, squats, free-weights, and occasional walks since being a tub of lazy lard has never exactly been my cup of tea. but that wasn't good enough for him. he wanted 3 hours per week when that wasn't exactly possible if i want to function (trust me, i've tried it)
So, to anyone who thinks i'm lazy or over exaggerating (including Dr. Cohen), how about i hammer a railroad spike into your temple and tell you to go run a mile? then talk to me
one last note, he did actually push pills. the man would've given me kidney failure if I had a worse memory. but that's another story

*hugs* Oh god, they just love to push exercise on chronic pain patients! It's not exactly easy to breathe or see much less crunch and run like that. I have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (my sister has migraines though) but its much the same. They can't see how much pain we're in, and while the benefits of exercise are great that pain is far greater. It's sad now no one understands chronic invisible pain. I really feel for you!
The layout of this is fantastic. The formatted words really bring out their meanings. Short and to the point, but potent. It's a great piece - thank you for sharing it!
